Recipe - Teriyaki Beef

 

" A great choice when you don't know what to have for dinner "

Ingredients:
 

  2/3 pound beef, sliced into strips
  1 large red pepper, cut into strips
OR 1 medium sized onion, cut
  into strips
  2 tsp chopped garlic
  1/4 tsp ground ginger OR several strips of fresh ginger
  2 tsp cooking sherry or chinese cooking wine
  3-4 tbsp E. Waldo Ward Teriyaki Sauce
  1 tbsp vegetable oil
  1 tsp cornstarch in 3-4 tbsp water
 

Directions:

1 Heat cooking oil over high heat. Add garlic and ginger to cook for 1 minute. If using oinon, add it together with the garlic and ginger.

2 Add beef, brown lightly and then add the cooking sherry or chinese cooking wine.

3 Stir fry beef until more or less done cooking.

4 If using peppers, add peppers now. Lower heat to medium or medium high.

5 Add teriyaki sauce. Mix the sauce well with the beef and red peppers.

6 Stir fry for about 3-5 minutes until the red pepper is cooked but still crispy.

7 Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until sauce thickens.

8 Serve with steamed white rice.

Makes 4 servings
