Sugar and spice, and everything nice--these pearl size cocktail onions are in a sugar and vinegar syrup that enhance their sweet appeal. Worshipped by ancient Egyptians for it's spherical and layered qualities that symbolized eternal life, onions are one of the oldest vegetables used by humans since millenia. Our sweet spiced cocktail onions are similar to those enjoyed in the British Isles with cheddar sandwiches or fish 'n chips. We also like them as a quick sauerbraten sauce made with beef stock and cream over steak, or stirred in a red wine sauce over duck or lamb. As a snack they are the perfect size to pop in your mouth for that sweet, spicy, vinegary flavor during cocktails!
