Welcome to E. Waldo Ward & Son
Here's a brief description
of how our store works and how to find what you want quickly.
The light gray navigation
bar on the upper section of the screen - This section of the screen
lists our product categories. If you roll your mouse over the names on
the bar, a drop down menu may appear if there are multiple selections.
Here you can navigate to a category to select a particular product. You
can click on any product name to see a more complete description. You
can also choose a category on the left panel on the main welcome page.
Your account -You
will need to sign up for an online account to manage your billing and
shipping addresses, your order history, tracking information and credit
card information. We always encrypt the credit card information for your
safety and guarantee a safe transaction. We recommend that you sign in
to your account prior to shopping so that your previous ship-to addresses
are available when selecting products in our store.
Searching for products
- Search the entire
store for a particular product. Just type in the word, i.e. 'apple'.
The category pages -
You can choose a product from
a category page by clicking on the picture or by clicking on the product
name. Then you will be able to view detailed information regarding the
item.
The product pages -
To select the quantity of
an item, click on the 'pull-down' menu with the quantity you desire, then
select the amount by clicking on any quantity you desire, from 1 jar to
10 jars. The click on the person you wish to send the product in the 'Ship
To' drop down field and select from 'Ship to Myself' or 'Other, Add New
Name Below', then click on the 'Add to Basket' button. If you do not select
from the two choices in the 'Ship To' box then the default ship-to person
will be yourself. If you would like more than 10 jars, then select 10
jars, click on the 'Add to Basket' button and then add another quantity
of the same item to the cart.
View Basket - As
you shop, you can add items to your online cart and then click on 'view
cart' or 'my cart' to see the items you selected. Keep in mind that putting
something in the cart does not obligate you to purchase it. You can put
items in and take them out until you are ready to checkout and arrange
payment. This button lets you see what you have in your cart at any time
and totals up the prices for you.
Checkout - Here
is where you go when you're finished shopping and you want to arrange
shipment and payment. You may also delete items, alter quantities, or
cancel your order. It's quick and easy. You may need to sign in if you
haven't already done so. There are four steps during checkout. You are
on a secured server when entering your personal information. Remember
that we will never disclose your personal information to third parties
other than the necessary information required to fulfill your order. If
you have ordered before, your information will already be filled into
the forms while checking out. This will save you time.
Addresses - Please
double check your addresses. We can not be responsible for incorrect shipping
addresses. UPS may return the package to our facility. You will be charged
for reshipping the package.
Where to begin - Most
people begin shopping by signing in to their account and then selecting
a product from a category on the top navigation bar.
A
word about our secured site.
We are able to accept
credit cards on our site through a secured server. What does this mean?
It means that you are protected against anyone stealing your card number
by 'intercepting' it in cyberspace. If you do not see the lock symbol
(if you are using Netscape or Internet Explorer) in the lower right hand
corner OR you do not see the page name start with 'https...' when you
are using your credit card, then you are risking your credit information.
Once our system has your information on our secured site, we retrieve
it on the server without the use of e-mail (an unsecured method). For
more information, see our security page.
